           “ Knowledge is Power ”

         The Christian missionaries are the angels who poured the light of knowledge , hope and courage to the Keralites . For the people migrated from different parts of Travancore , to the remote and undeveloped areas of Malabar , the doors of knowledge were opened by the institutions  attached with the churches . And such a horizon of knowledge was gifted  to the people of  Koodaranhi that is – ST. SEBASTIAN'S H.S.S. which was built in 1962  by Late  Rev. Fr. Berthelomia C.M.I

         Our school is under the patronage of St. Sebastian . He is the patron  saint of athlets , archers and soldiers and is appealed to for protection against contageous  diseases like plague , small pox , malaria etc .

           His feast is very solemnly celebrated at Koodaranhi every year on 20^th January the exact date of his feast , which is the biggest feast in Malabar and thousands  of believers flow together and obtain graces and favours through the intercession of  St.Sebastian .The people of locality irrespective of caste and creed join the procession and prayer because they firmly believe that due to the prayer to St. Sebastian , epidemics will be wiped out . The school also have taken St. Sebastian as its patron and  so many favours are received in the field of studies and extracurricular activities . Still the school gets, St. Sebastian’s prayers to stay blessed .
